Threefold Architects have worked with Ella’s Kitchen, a global organic children’s food brand, to create a new rural workspace campus to accommodate their fast growing team.
The proposed master plan for the site creates a new campus with a series of flexible modern workspaces tailored specifically to the client's needs, with a focus on food, community and wellness.
Located at Grey’s Green Farm in Henley-on-Thames, Ella’s occupies a series of barns forming part of a small business park. We have focused on preserving and enhancing the best aspects of the existing buildings whilst also proposing a new building and landscaped courtyard to provide an additional 30 work stations, social hub and flexible meeting spaces.
Early on in the design process Threefold Architects undertook extensive consultations, both face to face interviews with department leaders and via a bespoke online survey which was issued to the entire workforce. The aim was to understand the brand, the goals and aspirations of the team, existing limitations of the current layout and attitudes towards hot-desking and more flexible modes of working.
