The detached dwellings include two house types, each with four bedrooms over ground and first floor. Primary living accommodation is proposed at ground floor, with access and aspect on to a private, south facing garden. The wider landscape design incorporates a number of measures to improve the biodiversity of the site, with rain gardens for attenuation, native insect friendly plants & trees, bat & bird habitats and eco tones collectively resulting in a biodiversity net gain of 33%,

Drawing inspiration from traditional farmstead buildings and barns, the dwellings utilise gabled roofs, walled gardens, bricks and clay tiles. Large windows and rooflights enable cross ventilation and natural daylight whilst maintaining privacy between homes and gardens. The scale and massing has been carefully considered to provide well-proportioned spaces whilst limiting the height of the buildings through gable roofs. The project seeks to achieve an overall improvement in regulated emissions through a high standard of building fabric, air source heat pump driven heating & hot water systems and roof mounted photovoltaic panels, thus minimising the operational carbon footprint.
