  • An orangery for Airbnb

An additional space for Airbnb UK intended as a standalone annexe to the main space completed by Threefold and located in a different part of the same former warehouse in Clerkenwell.

The brief was to provide an independent offsite project space with workspaces for up to 12 in addition to a kitchenette, meeting rooms, a flexible event and training space.

Playing off the exposed original structural fabric of the former warehouse and the green view of the tree lined street beyond, the space is conceived as an orangery or winter garden employing a language of lightweight steel framed bespoke furniture and planting, set against a backdrop of circular recessed arches in birch plywood which enclose meeting rooms against the back wall of the space.

The result is a group of connected light filled spaces providing a range of activity based working environments including individual kiosks, larger meeting rooms, open plan shared task tables and flexible event/project space.
